However, there was one exception: ZDF was present live at the final triumph of FC Bayern Munich 2020 in Lisbon against Paris Saint-Germain. The reason: According to the Rundfunkstaatsvertrag, an endgame with German participation must necessarily be shown on free-to-air television.
