Blood RED SKY IN CHINA
Blood RED SKY IN CHINA
Over the weekend, residents of Zhoushan, China, noticed a mysterious red sky, raising their concern. The videos show a crimson sky over the port city, as well as a lot of fog. According to reports, the sky is probably the reddest near the port areas.
According to the Global Times, people saw the sky turn scarlet red from their homes, balconies and streets. Videos and photos of the phenomenon have gone viral, gaining more than 150 million views on Chinese social media sites Sina and Weibo.
Many people believe that the Chinese government has a" bad omen " because of the way it handled covid-19.
"I've never seen that before."It really amazes me that the sky can turn red," said one user, according to the Global Times.
As the videos went viral and panic spread widely in the City, television and media agencies decreed that the blood-red sky was caused by the refraction of natural light rather than by artificial effect.
According to the report, "when weather conditions are good, more water in the atmosphere forms aerosols that reflect sunlight and scatter light from fishing vessels and begin to create the red sky that the public sees.”
People compare the event to an accident in 1770 in which the sky turned red for 9 days as a result of massive solar activity, Japanese scientists claimed in a 2017 research paper. The lighting could come from a fishing boat that extracts saury from the Pacific Ocean, according to local media citing Zhoushan Marine Fisheries company of China aquatic products.
